Barracas Central vs Racing
Barracas Central had enough to claim an important point on their visit to Platense following a scoreless draw last Sunday, with interim boss Sergio Ramos in charge. That result allows them to stay away from potential relegation threats (occupying 18th spot in that table on their return to the top flight) even though they secured a single victory across their last four league games, along with one draw and two defeats, and are producing an irregular campaign in the Liga Profesional, with 13 points in 11 matches.
Racing Club fans will have felt gutted after the team’s 3-3 home draw against Tigre as they wasted a 3-1 lead and conceded the equaliser in the 88th minute. Even though they have been unbeaten in their last seven league matches (three victories and four stalemates), La Academia are on 19 points, which places them six behind the Liga Profesional leaders Atletico Tucuman. On a positive note, Fernando Gago’s men remain at the top of the 2022 aggregate table.
Even if Racing will miss Enzo Copetti, their top scorer, they should still have enough to beat this poor Barracas and remain close to the top of the league.
