Barracas Central vs Instituto

Barracas Central produced a slight improvement last Saturday and were the better side in their clash at Banfield, but they lacked effectiveness up front and it all ended 0-0. In fact, El Guapo are on three winless league games (drawing two and losing one without even scoring) under recently-appointed boss Sergio Rondina, which means the team managed 14 points in as many rounds in the Liga Profesional so far, occupying 25th spot of the league table, only six points above bottom-placed Union Santa Fe (who hold one game in hand). At home, Barracas won only one of their last four, along with one draw and two losses.

Instituto are currently showing their worst form in the whole season. Following a very disappointing performance, the team succumbed to an unexpected 2-0 home loss to CA Central Cordoba last Saturday. As a result, La Gloria are on three winless matches in league action (one draw and two defeats) and what started as a good campaign is now worrying. Lucas Bovaglio’s men remain on 17 points after 14 rounds and one more defeat would drop them close to the relegation zone in the point-average table.

Both have been poor and unreliable lately but Barracas doesn’t have any scoreless games at home and this looks like a short line worth a shot.
