Barracas Central vs Independiente
Barracas Central continue to produce an irregular campaign in their second consecutive season in the top flight. Last Saturday, the team suffered a 1-0 away defeat at Newell’s Old Boys which could have ended in a worst scoreline. El Guapo claimed a single win across their last four league matches, drawing one and losing two, which means they remain on seven points in six rounds, hovering in a low-half spot of the Liga Profesional rankings.
Independiente are going through difficult times. Last Sunday, the team wasted a 2-0 lead and ended up drawing 2-2 against newcomers Instituto at home. El Rojo extended their winless streak to five league games, drawing three and losing two. They accumulated six points in as many matches in the Liga Profesional, occupying 20th place of the league rankings, and coach Leandro Stillitano is now under pressure.
Barracas has conceded at least a goal in 5 of their 6 games so far this season, Independiente is in a very poor situation and must take risks and go for the win, so I definitely expect to see at least a couple of goals here.
