Barracas Central vs Boca
Barracas Central remain winless in the Liga Profesional following their 2-1 home defeat to Union Santa Fe last Wednesday, when they played as hosts at second-tier club All Boys. That result prevented them from climbing into one of the Copa Sudamericana places in the aggregate table. The team earned only two points in this competition (drawing two and losing one of their three games). Barracas managed a single victory across their last six matches as the home side, drawing two and losing three.
Defending champions Boca Juniors showed their amazing offensive power to beat Tigre 5-3 at home last Wednesday. Thanks to that victory, Sebastian Battaglia’s men accumulated six points in the first three rounds and are now trailing leaders Estudiantes, Newell’s Old Boys and Platense by only one. In fact, El Xeneize suffered a single defeat across their last 15 league matches, winning nine and drawing five in regular time.
Boca finally exploded in offense last week when they scored 5, but also conceded 3 as their defensive worries continue. Both teams have conceded in the first 3 rounds, and I expect an open game here with goals.
