Barracas Central vs Banfield
Barracas Central are still finding trouble to find their best version in the league. Two weeks ago, the team succumbed to an unexpected 1-0 away defeat to Defensa y Justicia after playing against ten men for around 50 minutes. El Guapo extended their winless streak to 12 league matches, drawing five and losing seven, which leaves them on eight points in the penultimate spot of the respective table. They are yet to win as hosts in this competition, taking just two points from 18 on offer and will host this one at Deportivo Riestra.
Banfield are currently living a deep crisis. Last time out, the team succumbed to a devastating 2-1 home defeat to Instituto after conceding in the sixth minute of stoppage time. That result means El Taladro are going through a four-game winless streak of two stalemates and two defeats. Accumulating just 11 points in the Liga Profesional rankings, the side are just ten points above the relegation spot in the aggregate table, occupied by CA Central Cordoba. Banfield lost five of their last seven on away turf, winning one and drawing one in that time.
Two of the worst defenses in the league play here, Barracas having conceded in 6 of their last 7 games and Banfield in 8 of their last 10. To make things worse both will have missings in defense, goalkeeper Sebastian Moyano in Barracas and Maciel and Enrique for Banfield, so I expect at least a couple of goals between these teams that are desperate for points.
