Barracas Central vs Atletico Tucuman
Barracas Central secured an important point on their visit to Independiente last Saturday, when they ended up drawing 0-0 in an uneventful game. However, El Guapo are on six Liga Profesional matches without a win, drawing two and losing four. Accumulating just five points in this competition, Alejandro Orfila’s men remain out of the Copa Sudamericana places in the aggregate table. Furthermore, Barracas took a single point from the last nine on offer as the hosting side. Facundo Mater remains sidelined after succumbing to a mild muscle problem shortly before the last game.
Atletico Tucuman finally returned to winning ways last time out, when they beat Instituto 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Marcelo Estigarribia in the 85th minute and Tomas Durso saved a penalty. El Decano put an end to a five-match winless run of four stalemates and one defeat in the Liga Profesional to accumulate ten points, opening a healthy nine-point gap over the relegation spot in the aggregate table, occupied by Tigre.
Atletico has been poor playing away lately with 4 draws and six loses in the last 10, but they’ve looked improved lately with 4 consecutive draws before the win against Instituto last week so I’m going to trust them here against this very poor Barracas that has been playing awful lately with only 2 goals scored in the last 6 games.
