Barracas Central – Newell’s

Barracas Central continue to produce a very good campaign in their return to the top flight. Last Monday, the team secured a deserved 2-1 away success at Sarandi Arsenal thanks to goals from Ivan Tapia and Juan Ignacio Diaz. Through that victory, El Guapo managed to break their five-game winless streak of three draws and two defeats in league action and accumulated 33 points in 26 matches in the Liga Profesional.

Newell’s Old Boys showed a great display of effort last Sunday to clinch one of their biggest victories this season: they won 2-0 over title candidates Boca Juniors despite having played with ten men since the 35th minute. La Lepra made it 39 points in the Liga Profesional after winning three and drawing one of their last five league games (along with a single defeat in that span): as a result, they are already qualified for the Copa Sudamericana.

Nothing to play for either team, they come from good wins and they can both score with their solid attacks, so I will go with the OVER here.
