Barracas Central – Huracan
Barracas Central had a rough night last Monday. They were dominated from beginning to end and succumbed to a deserved 2-0 away loss to Union Santa Fe. El Guapo remain on four points after three rounds of Liga Profesional action, which keeps them into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table despite winning only one of their last five league games (two draws and two losses). On a positive note, Barracas remain unbeaten in the last six as the home side, winning four and drawing two at Huracan. However, they will host this one at Deportivo Riestra.
Huracan continue to improve under boss Frank Kudelka. The team celebrated a hard-fought 1-0 home success over Instituto last time out thanks to a penalty netted by Ignacio Pussetto in the 12th minute of stoppage time. As a result, El Globo are now one of the Liga Profesional leaders on seven points (alongside Talleres, Gimnasia LP, Racing Club, Union Santa Fe and Independiente Rivadavia) and also made it six league matches without defeat (four victories and two draws) since losing to Barracas Central 1-0 at Lanus in March. Therefore, the side are just four points behind the last Copa Sudamericana berth in the aggregate table. On a sorry note, Huracan have been winless in the last seven on the road, drawing two and losing five in that spell.
I like the chance of having at least two goals here. Huracan has looked good in attack, scoring in the first 3 rounds, 5 in total with veteran striker Ignacio Puzzeto scoring 3 of those. Barracas is not exactly a reliable team, they had a very irregular start and since they usually play their home games at Huracan they will move this one to Deportivo Riestra, one of the smallest playing fields in the league what could help the chance of seeing faster attacks.
