Barracas Central – Estudiantes

Barracas Central see their crisis getting deeper game after game. Last Sunday, the side lost 1-0 away at San Lorenzo and could have suffered a heavier rout after a terrible performance. Winless in their last three league games (one draw and two defeats), El Guapo remain bottom-placed in the Liga Profesional on 12 points, which is not yet a threat regarding relegation but they should improve soon to stay safe. To make matters worse, Barracas remain without a win in the last eight as the hosting side, having drawn three and lost five in that spell.

Estudiantes are returning to their best version. Last Sunday, the team played a convincing game to secure a 3-2 hard-fought home success over Instituto. As a result, El Pincha extended their winning streak to three Liga Profesional matches to make it 26 points in this competition, climbing into tenth spot of the respective table. In fact, the defending champions beat Banfield 2-1 in their last away game to stop a three-match losing streak as the visiting outfit. Playmaker Tiago Palacios is set to return from suspension on Friday while Guido Carrillo and Santiago Arzamendia remain sidelined.

Estudiantes coming from a good 3-2 win are going to face this Barracas that has been terrible and they’ve conceded goals in 10 of their last 12 games so I’ll go for the OVER here because Estudiantes also did it in 10 of their last 11 matches.
