Barracas Central – Defensa y Justicia

Barracas Central new coach Sergio Rondina had a worthy debut as his team showed an improved version to take a scoreless away draw at Velez Sarsfield. However, the recently-appointed man in charge has a lot of work to do as El Guapo won only one of the last seven matches in league action, drawing three and losing three, which places them in 21th spot of the league table on 13 points. On a positive note, Barracas succumbed to a single defeat in their last five home matches, winning two and drawing two.

Thanks to a strike from Nicolas Fernandez in the second half, Defensa y Justicia claimed a valuable 1-0 home success over Instituto in a hard-fought game in round 12. That result represented their second consecutive victory in league action and allowed them to make it 21 points in the Liga Profesional, climbing into fifth spot of the table. El Halcon have been performing a decent campaign on the road as they took ten of those points, with three triumphs, one draw and a single defeat in this league season.

Barracas looked good under their new coach in the scoreless draw at Velez so I’ll trust them here at home where they had good results lately.
