Barracas Central – Banfield

Barracas Central put up a good fight on their visit to Atletico Tucuman last Saturday, but they were ineffective up front and ended up losing 1-0 away. That result means El Guapo remain on three points in four matches in the Copa Liga Profesional and also represents their fourth loss across the last six league games (along with one victory and one draw), which keeps them just seven points above the relegation place in the aggregate table. On a positive note, Barracas are on eight matches unbeaten as the hosting side (winning four and drawing four). On Wednesday, they will host Banfield at Huracan due to renovation works at Estadio Claudio Tapia.

Banfield are still unable to say goodbye to the fight to stay in the top flight. Last Friday, the team showed a deflated performance and suffered a devastating 1-0 home loss to Argentinos Juniors, a result that put an end to their two-match winning streak in the Copa Liga Profesional. Accumulating six points in four rounds in group A, El Taladro are just five points above the relegation spot in the aggregate table, occupied by Huracan.

Banfield was too disappointing last weekend on their home game, so even if Barracas doesn’t look reliable now they are usually strong at home and these odds are too big to pass.
