Banfield vs Patronato
Banfield secured a valuable point on their visit to Estudiantes last Saturday, when they drew 0-0 away despite having shown a poor version. However, Claudio Vivas’ men extended their winless streak to five matches in the Liga Profesional, drawing three and losing two to make it 14 points in 11 rounds, which keeps them out of the continental places in the 2022 aggregate table. At home, Banfield are on four without a win, having registered three draws and one defeat since beating CA Central Cordoba 2-1 in round three.
Patronato returned to winning ways in great style last Sunday: they played one of their best games in the whole season to beat Boca Juniors 3-0 at home. The team made it three victories across the last four league games (along with a single defeat) to accumulate 17 points in 11 rounds. The good campaign places them eight points behind the first safe spot in the relegation table, occupied by CA Central Cordoba.
Patronato has been solid so far, they come from a historic win against Boca and they should be very motivated to continue their good run.
