Banfield vs Instituto
Banfield showed slight improvements regarding the season opener and secured a valuable point away at defending champions Rosario Central, drawing 0-0 in an even match. El Taladro took their first point in group A and also made it three winless league games, drawing two and losing one in regular time without even scoring. Banfield lost 2-0 to Huracan in their last home match after five matches unbeaten at Estadio Florencio Sola (three victories and two draws).
Instituto showed great improvements last Monday to clinch their first victory of the season, beating Atletico Tucuman 3-0 at home following an enjoyable performance. As a result, La Gloria made it four points to occupy one of the playoff spots in group A. Diego Dabove’s men are now on five league matches unbeaten, with two victories and three draws in that stretch. On away turf, Instituto haven’t lost any of the last eight, winning three and drawing five since losing to Godoy Cruz 4-2 in July.
I have to here with this very tempting totals line, even if Banfield still couldn’t score a goal yet this season. Instituto comes from scoring 3 midweek and they could find spaces here against this Banfield who will again have some missings due to injuries.
