Banfield – Huracan

 

Banfield ended up drawing 1-1 away at Lanus in the derby last Saturday despite having taken the first lead through striker Juan Cruz. The team continue producing an irregular campaign, accumulating only 15 points after three winless games (two stalemates and one defeat) and having won only one of their last 13 league encounters (drawing seven and losing five in that span).

Huracan’s three-game winning streak in league action was broken last Saturday, when the team succumbed to a 3-0 home defeat to Boca Juniors in an entertaining game. However, El Globo are performing a decent campaign, having accumulated 22 points in the Liga Profesional so far. As a result, they continue occupying the 21st spot in the points average table.

Banfield gained some momentum after a good performance in the derby at Lanus last weekend, while Huracan has a huge derby ahead of them next weekend against San Lorenzo so I think the hosts will be more ready for this match.
