Argentine Primera Division: Banfield – Argentinos Jrs Odds for April 1, 2022

Banfield – Argentinos Jrs

Banfield produced an excellent recovery right on time: they managed to beat Lanus 1-0 away in an intense derby to stop a two-match losing streak. Therefore, Diego Dabove’s men made it 11 points in seven rounds in group A, which means they trail the last qualifying berth (occupied by River Plate) by two points. At home, El Taladro accumulated four points in three matches this term as a product of one victory, one draw and one defeat.

Thanks to a strike from Fausto Vera in the second half, Argentinos Juniors secured an important 1-0 home success over Velez Sarsfield in round seven. That victory allowed them to break a four-match winless streak of two draws and two defeats and also make it 11 points in group A, only two behind the last playoff berth at the moment. On away turf, El Bicho have been irregular this season: they beat Patronato, lost to Racing Club and drew at Gimnasia LP so far.

I rate Banfield as a better team than Argentinos and they should be on a great mood after winning the derby against Lanus.
