Atletico Tucuman vs Talleres
Atletico Tucuman left very good impressions on their visit to defending league champions Boca Juniors last Sunday, but they were ineffective up front and ended up losing 1-0 in their 2023 debut. As a result, Lucas Pusineri’s men are now on five league games without a win, having drawn two and lost three in that spell. On a positive note, Atletico hold an impressive unbeaten run at their own stadium: they haven’t lost any of the last 15, with nine victories and six draws since their 4-2 defeat to Argentinos Juniors in April.
Talleres, one of the worst teams in 2022, continue struggling to show their best version and suffered a deserved 1-0 home defeat to Independiente in their 2023 debut. The loss put an end to a three-match unbeaten run of two victories and one draw at the end of last league season. Javier Gandolfi’s men have been irregular in their travels: they registered two victories, one draw and two defeats across the last five away matches.
Talleres looked very poor last week vs Independiente and I expect them to get in trouble against this Atletico that has been extremely strong at home.
