Atletico Tucuman vs Platense
Atletico Tucuman succumbed to a devastating 2-1 away defeat at relegation candidates Patronato last Sunday despite having taken the first lead. That result stopped their five-match unbeaten streak of two victories and three draws in league action and also displaced them from the top of the league table: El Decano are now second-placed in the Liga Profesional on 41 points, trailing leaders Boca Juniors by one. Platense showed an interesting version last Saturday and secured another important point following a 0-0 home draw against Defensa y Justicia. Even though the team are on three league games without a win (two stalemates and one defeat), their campaign is still very good as El Calamar accumulated 31 points in the Liga Profesional, which allows them to be only three points away from securing their top-flight status for next season. Platense celebrated a single victory across their last seven away matches, along with two draws and four defeats in that span.
If Atletico wants to fight for the championship this is a must win game. They need to bounce back from the weekend defeat and at home where they are strong they should take the 3 points.
