Atletico Tucuman vs Banfield
Atletico Tucuman are one of the worst sides in the league at the moment. Last Sunday, the team were dominated from beginning to end and suffered a deserved 3-0 away defeat at Defensa y Justicia. Lucas Pusineri’s men are yet to win in the Liga Profesional, having grabbed only two points in five rounds, sharing with Colon the bottom spot in the league table. In fact, El Decano have been winless in their last nine matches in league action, drawing four and losing five.
Banfield seem unable to claim victories at the moment. Last Sunday, they had to settle for a scoreless home draw against Independiente, despite having dominated the game even playing with ten men since the 13th minute. As a result, El Taladro are without a win in their last seven league matches (four stalemates and three defeats) and accumulate three points in the current Liga Profesional, just one above bottom-placed Atletico Tucuman and Colon. Banfield also are on three consecutive defeats on the road in domestic action, having lost to Independiente, Huracan and Newell’s Old Boys.
These two have been so bad that with not much to lose I expect them to play an open game to try to get the points they need. Both coaches are close to losing their jobs, so they can’t just speculate and should try to go for the win.
