Atletico Tucuman – Huracan

Atletico Tucuman’s good moment of form was stopped last weekend, when the team succumbed to a narrow 1-0 away defeat at Union Santa Fe in a hard-fought game. That result put an end to their three-match unbeaten streak of two victories and one draw in league action. El Decano remain on 33 points in the Liga Profesional, a very good campaign which is however not enough to fight for one of the continental tickets via the aggregate table. Atletico also are on two consecutive victories at Estadio Jose Fierro (over Lanus and Sarmiento, both 1-0). Gianluca Ferrari saw a red card at Union Santa Fe and is suspended.

Huracan continue to live their dream of fighting for their sixth league title. Last weekend, the team secured a highly celebrated 1-0 home success over Independiente thanks to a strike from Walter Mazzanti in the 60th minute. Therefore, El Globo made it eight matches unbeaten in this competition (five victories and three draws) to accumulate 42 points in second spot of the Liga Profesional rankings, trailing leaders Velez Sarsfield by one and also holding onto their Copa Sudamericana berth in the aggregate table.
