Arsenal vs Belgrano
Arsenal celebrated their first victory of the season in the best possible way: they made a great effort to reverse the score and beat River Plate 2-1 away from home thanks to goals from Lautaro Guzman and Luis Leal. After one draw and three defeats in the Liga Profesional start, El Viaducto are now on four points. Nevertheless, the team still have a mountain to climb in order to avoid relegation: they are bottom in the point-average table, ten behind the last safe place, occupied by Sarmiento.
After a good start on their return to the top flight, Belgrano are now deflating their performance. Last time out, the team couldn’t handle Nahuel Losada’s sending-off in the first half and ended up losing 2-0 to Tigre at home. Guillermo Farre’s men are now on two consecutive defeats in league action without even scoring, which means they remain on seven points in five rounds in the Liga Profesional, still a worthy campaign that keeps them safe from relegation threats.
Arsenal has basically no choice but to try to win games as soon as possible as they are deep in the relegation zone but they are still not reliable, so I expect only an open game here where anything can happen.
