Arsenal vs Atletico Tucuman
Sarandi Arsenal secured an important point on their visit to Defensa y Justicia last Monday, when they drew 0-0 in an entertaining game. The team extended their winless streak to four league games (three stalemates and one defeat) but also made it 13 points in the Liga Profesional table, which allows them to hold onto a four-point gap over the first relegation spot in the point-average rankings. El Viaducto have been irregular at home in this competition so far, having grabbed six points from 15 on offer following one victory, three draws and one loss.
Atletico Tucuman continue to live a dream. Last Saturday, the team secured a big 2-0 home victory over Newell’s Old Boys (with Ramiro Carrera and Renzo Tesuri scoring) to remain as league leaders on 25 points (extending their gap over the second place, occupied by Gimnasia LP, to four). Lucas Pusineri’s men are on six consecutive wins in this competition without even conceding and 14 league games without defeat, winning eight and drawing six. On away turf, El Decano haven’t lost any of the last nine, with three victories and six stalemates in that spell. Â
Atletico are leaders and still undefeated, and I expect them to continue this great run against a very irregular Arsenal.
