Argentinos Juniors have already qualified for the Copa Libertadores 2021 after finishing in the fourth spot of the 2019/20 aggregate table. They beat Lanus 1-0 away in their last match to make it three wins, three draws and a single defeat in the last seven top-flight games. El Bicho holds a 12-game unbeaten run in the league at their own stadium, winning seven and drawing five. The club hired four new players and three men left, but none of them represents an important change for coach Diego Dabove. Argentinos lost 2-1 at home to second-tier Atlanta two weeks ago, which means they haven’t claimed any wins in the preseason (two draws and three defeats).
San Lorenzo climbed up to sixth place in the 2019/20 aggregate table thanks to three consecutive victories under Hugo Tocalli and Leandro Romagnoli as interim bosses.
