Argentinos Jrs vs Banfield
Argentinos Juniors have been winless in their last three league matches (taking only two points in that span) following their 1-1 away draw at Boca Juniors last Sunday. After the first five rounds in the Liga Profesional, the team accumulated six points, which means they remain out of the continental spots in the aggregate table. On a positive note, Gabriel Milito’s men are unbeaten in their last seven home matches in this competition, winning four and drawing three in that time.
Banfield’s seven-match unbeaten streak of three victories and four draws in league action came to an end last Saturday, when the team succumbed to a 1-0 home defeat to Talleres in an even match. As a result, the team remain on six points in the first five rounds. On a positive note, El Taladro haven’t lost any of their last five matches on away turf, registering two victories and three draws in that stretch.
Banfield lost last week but they´ve been a surprise so far, not playing really well but looking more solid than I expected. Argentinos has been equally irregular, so I expect a tight match here where the visitors should be able to take something.
