Aldosivi vs Talleres
Aldosivi’s relegation was confirmed last Wednesday following the team’s 1-0 home defeat to Banfield. They ran out of chances of to stay in the top flight as a result of a terrible campaign: El Tiburon lost eight of their last 11 league matches (along with one victory and two draws in that span), which places them bottom in the Liga Profesional table, accumulating only 16 points in 25 games. Furthermore, Aldosivi lost four of their last five matches at Estadio Jose Maria Minella, only beating Barracas Central in that spell.
Talleres fans will have felt devastated following their 2-1 away defeat at Velez Sarsfield last Thursday as the team conceded in the 90th minute of a hard-fought match. As a result, La T are now on three losses across their last four league matches, having only beaten Godoy Cruz in that time. Therefore, they remain on 28 points in the Liga Profesional (with one game in hand) and don’t have big aims to pursue for the rest of the league season. Furthermore, Talleres also are on two consecutive defeats on the road (to Huracan and Velez Sarsfield).
Anything can happen here but considering that Aldosivi are finally relegated and they can relax and that Talleres doesn’t have anything to play for, I can expect an open game with some goals.
