Aldosivi vs Lanus
Aldosivi saw their four-match unbeaten run of three victories and one draw in the Liga Profesional coming to an end last Thursday, when the team were dominated from beginning to end and lost 2-0 at River Plate. That defeat dropped them down to the 23rd place in the relegation table. However, Fernando Gago’s men are producing a good campaign in this competition, accumulating 13 points.
Lanus are now one of the league leaders on 16 points (level with Talleres and Estudiantes) thanks to their 2-0 home success over Gimnasia LP last Wednesday, when Jose Lopez and Angel Gonzalez found the back of the net. Luis Zubeldia’s men lost only one of their last five league matches, winning three and drawing one to become one of the table toppers and also approach the Copa Libertadores’ places in the 2021 aggregate rankings.
Aldosivi is producing a very decent campaign but they will miss their most experienced defender, Fabricio Coloccini, and with a strong attack like Lanus has that could be a problem so I have to expect goals here.
