Aldosivi vs Barracas Central
Aldosivi continue edging closer to the second division. Last Friday, the team experienced another rough day and succumbed to a 3-0 away defeat to Tigre, a rout that could have been heavier. El Tiburon are now winless in their last eight league matches, having drawn two and lost six in the process. Following this streak, the side remain bottom in the Liga Profesional table on 13 points and continue occupying one of the relegation spots in the respective rankings, nine points behind Sarandi Arsenal (who are safe) with five rounds to go.
Barracas Central secured a valuable home point last Thursday, when they registered a 1-1 draw against title contenders Gimnasia LP in an intense game. Thanks to that point, El Guapo finally secured their top-flight status for next season following an interesting campaign. The team lost only one of their last five league games, winning two and drawing two in that spell to make it 28 points in the Liga Profesional. On a sorry note, Barracas managed only two points across their last seven matches on away turf.
Aldosivi will be relegated in a week if they don’t start winning games and I can’t see how that will happen considering how bad they are. Barracas is a good attacking team, and with the hosts in desperate mode I definitely can see goals here.
