Tigre fans will have felt frustrated after their 1-1 home stalemate against arch-rivals Platense after conceding the equaliser in the 89th minute. However, that point allowed them to make it three league matches unbeaten (two victories and one draw) and to secure a spot in the top flight for next season (as El Matador are now four points above the relegation place in the aggregate table). Lucas Pusineri’s men accumulated 13 points in as many matches in the Copa Liga Profesional and will play this game with no relevant aims.

The math is simple for Union in this last round: if they win they will avoid relegation or secure a playoff against some other team to avoid it, but if they draw or lose they will play next season in 2nd division. Their rival is Tigre who are safe and playing for nothing in this last game of the year, so I think the hosts should take the win they need at their stadium where they haven’t lost in a long time.
