Union Santa Fe celebrated their first victory in the Copa Liga Profesional last time out, when beating Estudiantes 3-1 away with Gonzalo Morales netting a brace. El Tatengue made it four points from six on offer in group B and also opened a healthy six-point gap over the relegation spot in the aggregate table after seven league games unbeaten (two victories and five stalemates). At home, Union also are on seven without defeat, having won three and drawn four since losing to Sarmiento 2-0 in May.

San Lorenzo had a rough afternoon and had to settle for a 2-2 home draw against Belgrano in their last league game after netting the equaliser in the 93rd minute. That result means El Ciclon collected four points in group B after two rounds of Copa Liga Profesional action. Ruben Insua’s men won only one of their last four league matches, drawing one and losing two in that spell, but they remain into the top four of the aggregate table, five points above the first non-Copa Libertadores spot. San Lorenzo continues being one of the best team in the league and now they added another good striker in Federico GIrotti who scored his first goal midweek in Copa Argentina, so I think they should at least avoid a defeat here.
