Argentina Copa de la Liga: Rosario Central vs River odds for November 11, 2023

Rosario Central vs River

Rosario Central couldn’t hold onto their lead last Monday and ended up settling for a 1-1 away stalemate against Barracas Central (at Huracan). Even though that result isn’t good news, it allowed them to make it six league matches unbeaten (three victories and three stalemates). El Canalla made it 17 points in group A, which is enough for them to keep their spot into the Copa Libertadores’ zone in the aggregate table. Central are still holding their impressive home run: they are unbeaten in the last 27 matches at Estadio Gigante de Arroyito, having won 14 and drawn 13 in that spell.

River Plate had a rough night last weekend and succumbed to an unexpected 2-1 home defeat to relegation candidates Huracan. That result put an end to their eight-match unbeaten streak of six victories and two draws in Copa Liga Profesional action. However, El Millonario remain as group A leaders on 23 points, now one above second-placed Independiente. On away turf, River have been unbeaten in their last four domestic matches, winning two and drawing two since losing to Velez Sarsfield 2-0 in early September.

Expecting an open game here between two of the best attacks of the league. River will secure a playoff spot with a win, Rosario Central must win of they are definitely out of this competition and also of the Copa Libertadores zone so I don’t expect neither of them to be careful and we should have goals.
