Argentina Copa de la Liga: River Plate vs Rosario Central odds for December 9, 2023

River Plate vs Rosario Central

River Plate are still alive in their fight to defend the league title. Last Sunday, the team had to struggle more than expected but they had enough to beat Belgrano 2-1, with Facundo Colidio netting the winner in the third minute of stoppage time. Thanks to that victory, Martin Demichelis’ men also managed to break a three-match winless streak of one draw and two defeats in league action.

Rosario Central played in good style last weekend, but they had to wait until the penalty shootout to advance to the semi-finals after wasting a 2-0 advantage against Racing Club (it all ended 2-2). Miguel Angel Russo extended their unbeaten streak to nine matches in league action (five victories and four stalemates in regular time) to continue fighting for their first league title since 1986/87. Striker Tobias Cervera is available for Saturday after missing a couple of games due to a muscle problem.

Once again I’ll go for the OVER in a game of these two teams that have some of the best attacks in the league. They met just a few weeks ago with Rosario Central winning 3-1, and in a direct elimination group one goal could really open things up.

BET: OVER 2.5 @ 1.95
