Independiente vs Instituto
Independiente couldn’t hold onto their lead last Tuesday and had to settle for a 1-1 away draw at Rosario Central in an entertaining game. However, the point is good news for them as El Rojo made it ten points in the Copa Liga Profesional, which allows them to stay as group A leaders alongside Argentinos Juniors and also keep a five-point gap over the relegation zone in the aggregate table after four league games unbeaten under recently-appointed coach Carlos Tevez (three victories and one draw). Independiente also won their last two at home, beating Velez Sarsfield 2-1 and Huracan 1-0.
Instituto played their best match in the Copa Liga Profesional last Wednesday, when they reversed the score to beat Colon 3-1 at home. Thanks to that victory, La Gloria accumulated eight points in five rounds in group A, taking a big step to stay in the top flight (they opened a seven-point over the relegation spot in the aggregate table after losing only one of their last five games in this competition, winning two and drawing two). In fact, Instituto lost a single game across their last six on away turf, along with two victories and three stalemates.
Another big relegation game, and again I’ll go with the OVER on the low totals line. Instituto comes from scoring 3 at home, Independiente has scored in the last 5, so 2 goals are definitely possible here.
