Huracan vs Colon
Huracan put up a very good fight on their visit to Talleres (one of the best teams in the league at the moment), but they ended up losing 2-1 away after conceding just two minutes before the final whistle. That defeat broke their three-match winning run in league action and left them on three points in group A. As a result of their terrible campaign in the first semester, El Globo remain occupying the relegation place in the aggregate table, but just one point behind CA Central Cordoba. On a positive note, Huracan won their last two matches as the hosting side.
Colon took another big step on their fight to stay in the top flight. Last weekend, they beat direct contenders Gimnasia LP 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Jorge Benitez and Tomas Galvan. El Sabalero are now leaders in group A on six points from six on offer (alongside Talleres), also leaving the relegation place in the aggregate table. Colon also won 1-0 at Independiente in their last away game to break an eight-match winless streak of three draws and five defeats as the visiting side. On Wednesday 30, they lost to Talleres on penalties following a 2-2 draw in the Copa Argentina round-of-16. All regulars are available to face Huracan on Saturday.
Another huge relegation match between two teams trying to avoid going to 2nd division in December. Huracan has improved lately but Colon added some good players in the off season, so I’ll also go here for the OVER as I expect both teams to go for a very needed win.
