Argentina Copa de la Liga: Godoy Cruz vs Central Cordoba odds for August 27, 2023

Godoy Cruz vs Central Cordoba

Godoy Cruz weren’t able to travel to Buenos Aires last weekend and their MD1 away match at Defensa y Justicia had to be postponed. However, they continue occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table after succumbing to a single defeat across their last seven in league action, winning three and drawing three (including a 4-2 home success over Instituto in the Liga Profesional round 27). In fact, Godoy Cruz are unbeaten in their last 11 home matches, having won seven and drawn four. Coach Daniel Oldra will be missing midfielder Gonzalo Abrego, who has been sold to Italian side US Cremonese. Tadeo Allende remains sidelined due to his knee injury while Diego Rodriguez and Bruno Leyes will return from their respective suspensions.

CA Central Cordoba took another step back in their struggle to avoid relegation. On Monday, the team were dominated from beginning to end and suffered a rough 2-0 away defeat at Newell’s Old Boys. As a result, El Ferroviario made it five losses in a row in league action, a terrible streak that left them only one point above the relegation spot in the aggregate table. To make matters worse, Central are now on seven away games without a win, having drawn four and lost three in that time.

Central Cordoba has been just awful lately and they should really struggle against the solid Godoy Cruz.
