Colon vs Rosario Central
Colon couldn’t hold onto their lead in round three and ended up suffering a devastating 2-1 away defeat at Huracan in a heated relegation clash. El Sabalero saw their two-match winning streak in league action coming to an end, but their six points in three Copa Liga Profesional (group A leaders alongside Huracan, Talleres, Velez Sarsfield, Banfield and Independiente) rounds keeps them out of the drop zone in the aggregate table, leading Gimnasia LP by one point at the moment. In fact, Colon beat Gimnasia 2-0 at home in their last home match to break a three-game winless streak of one draw and two defeats at Estadio Brigadier Estanislao Lopez. Left back Rafael Delgado is suspended here after seeing a red card at Huracan. In addition, Paolo Goltz, Damian Batallini and Jorge Benitez will miss out injured.
Rosario Central secured their first victory in the Copa Liga Profesional last time out by beating Talleres 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Jaminton Campaz and Ignacio Malcorra. Through that result, El Canalla put an end to a five-match winless streak of four draws and one defeat in league action to make it four points in this competition and hold onto their spot into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table. However, Central are on ten away games without a win, having drawn six and lost four since beating Huracan 2-0 in March. There is no relevant injury news for coach Miguel Angel Russo to visit Colon.
Colon has looked good but they will miss some important players today, including attacking midfielder Batallini, so I expect Central to at least avoid a defeat here.
