Central Cordoba vs Platense
CA Central Cordoba sees their crisis getting deeper game after game. Following a deserved 1-0 away defeat at Godoy Cruz last Sunday, the team remain pointless after two rounds of Copa Liga Profesional but they also made it six league losses in a row, a terrible streak that places them just one point above the relegation spot in the 2023 aggregate table, occupied by Huracan. At home, Central lost their last two without even scoring (to Independiente 1-0 and Atletico Tucuman 2-0). Deflor Minervino misses out again due to a muscle injury. On the other hand, left back Lucas Angelini overcame a shoulder problem and is available.
Platense had to settle for an unlucky home stalemate against Defensa y Justicia’s alternative XI last Sunday despite having created the better goalscoring chances of the game. That result represented their first point in two rounds of Copa Liga Profesional action and El Calamar made it five league games without a win (three draws and two losses). However, they remain far away the relegation places in both tables. On away turf, Platense grabbed just two points from the last 12 on offer.
Central Cordoba are just desperate for points, a game at home against a weak rival like Platense is a must win for them but since I don’t trust them much but I think they will have to take risks, I’ll go for this very short totals line.
