Atletico Tucuman vs Central Cordoba
Atletico Tucuman had to fight more than expected last Monday, but they had enough to beat Sarandi Arsenal (the worst team in the league this term) 1-0 at home thanks to a penalty converted by Joaquin Pereyra. El Decano made it nine points in the Copa Liga Profesional and also approached the continental spots in the aggregate table: having lost only one of their last 12 league games (seven wins and four draws), the side are just two points behind tenth-placed Racing Club. At home, Atletico made it eight matches unbeaten, winning seven and drawing one in that time.
CA Central Cordoba took a big breather in their struggle to avoid the drop last time out, when they beat Defensa y Justicia’s alternative XI 2-1 at home thanks to a brace from Luis Rodriguez. El Ferroviario made it three victories across their last four league matches (along with one defeat) to accumulate nine points in the Copa Liga Profesional and hold a two-point gap above the relegation spot in the aggregate table. Central also won their last away game (1-0 at Sarmiento) to stop a eight-match winless streak of four draws and four defeats as the visiting side.
I’m going to trust the very improved Atletico here, they are strong at Tucuman and should beat the irregular Central Cordoba.
