Atletico Tucuman vs Arsenal
Atletico Tucuman showed a more than worthy version on their visit to defending champions River Plate, but they ended up succumbing to an unlucky 1-0 away defeat after conceding in the third minute of stoppage time. That loss stopped a ten-match unbeaten streak of six victories and four draws in league action and kept El Decano on six points in group A, trailing the last Copa Sudamericana spot in the aggregate table by four points. At home, Atletico are on seven matches without defeat, winning six, drawing one and conceding a single goal in that stretch.
Sarandi Arsenal played a very good game on their visit to Velez Sarsfield under interim coach Dario Espinola, but it wasn’t enough to avoid a narrow 2-1 away loss. El Viaducto made it three consecutive defeats in the Copa Liga Profesional and four in five games in this competition. Accumulating just three points in group A, the side are bottom in the aggregate table and also in the point-average rankings, trailing Platense by 20 points, which means they are virtually condemned to relegation. Arsenal also are without a win in their last 14 away games, with three draws and 11 losses in that spell.
Atletico has been perfect at home lately and I don’t see how they won’t win against the soon to be relegated Arsenal.
