Huracan vs Rosario Central

Antonio Mohamed started his third spell as Huracan boss with the team registering their fourth consecutive draw in the Superliga. It was a scoreless stalemate against San Lorenzo as El Globo couldn’t take advantage of playing against ten men during almost 70 minutes. However, the side stays occupying the last Copa Libertadores spot on 27 points after seven matches unbeaten, with three wins in that spell. The side also is unbeaten at home, registering three successes and four draws.

Rosario Central finished 2018 by beating Gimnasia LP on penalties (1-1 draw in regular time) to lift the Copa Argentina title. Three days earlier, they fielded an alternative XI and lost to Velez Sarsfield 2-0 away, which ended a two-game winning streak in the Superliga. Edgardo Bauza’s men are performing an irregular league campaign so far, having collected 18 points with one game in hand. On away turf, Central is on six winless matches, with two draws and four defeats – including the last three.

Huracan is tough to beat, especially at home, but Rosario Central’s team looks improved with the arrival of midfielders Rinaudo and Jarlan Barrera so I expect them to get something out of this game.
