Gimnasia LP couldn’t hold onto a 1-0 lead at Banfield last time out and ended up drawing 1-1. Draws don’t count much for El Lobo at this moment as they remain bottom in the points average table (12 points from safety). The team have performed a poor campaign so far, having earned 11 points in 15 games. Furthermore, Gimnasia is yet to earn points at their own stadium as they lost all seven matches.
Central Cordoba is now unbeaten in their last five league matches (drawing four and winning one) after last Sunday’s 1-1 home stalemate against Rosario Central with Hugo Vera Oviedo netting the equaliser in the 82nd minute. El Ferroviario is now on 18 points in the league table, which is enough to remain out of the relegation zone. On away turf, they collected five points from the last nine available.
If there is one game neither of these teams can lose it’s this one as they are both fighting to avoid relegation. One goal should open things up so I’m going with the over.
