Patronato four-game unbeaten run of two victories and two draws in the Superliga has been stopped last weekend when the side succumbed to a 1-0 away defeat at Estudiantes in a six-pointer with regard to relegation. Mario Sciacqua’s men remain on 11 points in the league table and are now one point above the drop zone. Patronato won their last two home matches over Huracan and Independiente.
Lanus extended their unbeaten run to five league matches (earning 13 points in that span) last Sunday after a 3-2 home win over Colon. As a result, El Granate climbed into the third spot of the Superliga table on 14 points. Besides, they continue escaping from relegation, having opened an eight-point gap over the bottom three in that table. Lanus collected four points from nine on offer on away turf this term.
Even if Lanus are in good form, it shouldn’t be that easy for them to win at Patronato where the hosts are a solid team. Odds show Lanus as too favourite and I have to bet on the home team.
