I am betting under Manchester United +0.75 and under 3 goals to be scored in today’s traditional football season curtain raiser the Community shield, Manchester City’s recent record in this is poor having lost the last 3 community shields, they are also missing a lot of their Euro 2024 stars including their key man Rodri as well Foden, Stones, and Walker whilst Julian Alvarez is about to sign for Atletico Madrid. United should be better than last season, which won’t be that difficult and they should have new signing Joshua Zirkzee starting for them too which is a boost. I do get the feeling that this match will mean more to United and I expect the City players to be well under cooked for this game as Guardiola likes to peak his teams in the 2nd half of the season. I am also betting the under 3 goals as a bet, United will try to play the same game they played in the FA cup final where they will sit and hope to counter or press City into a mistake as well as that this game has a history of being a low scoring affair where only 1 of the last 11 Community shields going over 3 goals while 8 of those 11 featured 2 goals or less.
