Argentine Primera Division: Platense vs Boca Odds for June 02, 2024

Platense vs Boca

Platense managed an important point on their visit to Atletico Tucuman last Monday, when they ended up drawing 1-1 even though the hosts deserved more. El Calamar remain without a win in the Liga Profesional, accumulating just two points in three matches so far as a result of two stalemates and one loss. However, the side remain far away from potential relegation threats. Platense won two, drew five and lost one at Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez in 2024. Left back Sasha Marcich is suspended for Sunday after seeing a red card at Atletico Tucuman.

Boca Juniors showed a disappointing version in their last league game, settling for a sorry scoreless home stalemate against Talleres. That result means El Xeneize accumulated four points from nine on offer in the Liga Profesional so far. However, having lost only one of the last six in league action (along with three victories and two stalemates), El Xeneize remain occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana places in the aggregate table. Boca won two and lost two of their last four away games in domestic action. On Wednesday 29, Diego Martinez’s men won 4-0 at home over Bolivia’s Nacional Potosi in a Copa Sudamericana group match. Right back Luis Advincula overcame a muscle problem and is available.

Platense can be a tough team, they lost only one out of eight home games this year, including a 0-0 vs Boca in the first round of the previous tournament. Boca won’t have Cavani because he’s injured so their attacking power won’t be the same, and at these odds I’ll trust the hosts not to lose.
