Belgrano vs Racing
Racing Club haven’t found any difficulties in their last Copa Liga Profesional match, beating Belgrano 4-0 away through a solid performance. In fact, Gustavo Costas’ men made it four league games unbeaten, winning three and drawing one, but it wasn’t enough to qualify for the quarter-finals. The team made it 24 points in that competition and are now trailing the last Copa Libertadores’ place in the aggregate table by two. Racing have been strong as the visiting side in domestic action, with six victories, seven stalemates and a single loss across the last 14. During the break, they lost 2-1 to Talleres Remedios de Escalada in the Copa Argentina second round and also saw Copa Sudamericana action, beating Chile’s Coquimbo Unido 2-1 away and also lost to Red Bull Bragantino from Brazil on Thursday.
Both had poor midweek results in Copa Sudamericana and have important games next week so while they both could rest some starters, Racing for sure won’t have playmaker Juanfer Quintero due to injury and that’s good enough for me to trust the hosts to avoid a defeat here.
