Arsenal – Colon
Sarandi Arsenal finally got relegated last Friday despite taking a remarkable 1-1 away stalemate at Talleres, with Juan Bautista Cejas netting the equaliser in the 90th minute. Having claimed a single victory across their last seven Copa Liga Profesional matches (along with two draws and four defeats), El Viaducto accumulated eight points in nine rounds in group A, staying bottom in that table and also in the aggregate rankings. As a result, they will return to the second tier at the end of the season after four consecutive seasons in the top flight.
Colon put up a very good fight against defending champions River Plate last Thursday, but their fans felt frustrated following the 2-2 home draw as the team had taken the lead twice. El Sabalero are on three league matches without a win, with two stalemates and one defeat in that time. They are performing well in the Copa Liga Profesional, having grabbed 14 points in nine rounds so far. In fact, that campaign is enough to sit into one of the playoff spots in group A, but on the other hand, Nestor Gorosito’s men are threatened by relegation. Colon lost their last three away matches since beating Independiente 1-0 in the opener.
Arsenal are already relegated and will play the last 5 rounds with nothing to play for, they will miss their starting goalkeeper due to suspension, while Colon is under big pressure now that they fell in the relegation spot so while I don’t fully trust them, I’ll go here for the OVER as sooner than later the visitors will take risks.
