Argentinos Jrs vs Boca Juniors
Argentinos Juniors showed an excellent display of football last Wednesday and celebrated a much-needed 2-1 away success at Atletico Tucuman thanks to goals from Kevin Mac Allister and Gabriel Avalos. Through that victory, El Bicho put an end to a four-game winless streak of three draws and one defeat in league action and returned to the Copa Sudamericana zone, accumulating 23 points in the Liga Profesional table so far. At home, Argentinos succumbed to a single defeat in domestic action this term, winning four and drawing two in this competition.
Boca Juniors are starting to show improvements under recently-appointed coach Jorge Almiron. Last Sunday, the team secured an important 2-0 home success over Belgrano thanks to goals from Martin Payero and Dario Benedetto. In the context of a poor campaign, the defending champions succumbed to a single defeat across their last four league games, winning two and drawing one. Therefore, El Xeneize climbed into 13th spot of the Liga Profesional table on 21 points.
Boca are finally showing some signs of improvement but I still think they are a weak team, specially when playing away, and I can imagine at least a couple of goals against this Argentinos that always scores at their stadium.
