Huracan – Rosario Central
Huracan fans will have felt devastated after the team’s 2-1 away defeat at Estudiantes last time out, when an alternative XI was close to securing a point but they ended up conceding in stoppage time. That result represented El Globo’s first loss of the league season. Even though they are now on three without a win in this competition (along with two draws), Diego Dabove’s men remain on 12 points, occupying sixth spot of the Liga Profesional table. At home, Huracan are unbeaten in their last 11 league matches, having won nine and drawn two in that spell. On Thursday 16, Huracan lost 1-0 away at Sporting Cristal from Peru in the return leg of the Copa Libertadores’ third stage and were knocked out of the competition.
Rosario Central rescued a home point in a tough game last Sunday, when 18-year-old Lautaro Giaccone scored his first ever goal to make it 1-1 at home against Union Santa Fe in the 87th minute. El Canalla are showing an irregular form lately, having won only one of their last four matches, along with one stalemate and two defeats. However, they are occupying a spot in the top half of the league table on 11 points.
Huracan is the best team of these two but after consecutive defeats and the last minute Copa Libertadores elimination, they might not be recovered yet so I’m going with the visitors not to lose.
