Atletico Tucuman had enough to secure a valuable point on their visit to Instituto last time out, when drawing 1-1 away thanks to a goal from Mateo Coronel in the second half. It’s been a poor campaign for El Decano, who collected just six points so far, having won one, drawn three and lost three this season, leading bottom-placed Colon by only two points. At home, Atletico grabbed four points from nine on offer so far, having beaten Banfield, drawn against Velez Sarsfield and lost to Talleres.
Barracas Central produced a worthy performance last time out, when they registered a 1-1 home stalemate against Independiente in an intense game, having created the best goalscoring chances. The team claimed a single success across their last five matches in league action, drawing two and losing two in that spell. As a result, El Guapo are now on eight points after seven rounds, occupying 17th spot. Barracas are on two consecutive defeats on the road, losing to Huracan 2-0 and Newell’s Old Boys 1-0.
I’ll trust the hosts here, because they looked improved at Instituto last week and also because they should be strong at home against a poor away team like Barracas.
