Defensa y Justicia vs Talleres
Defensa y Justicia left very good impressions on their visit to defending champions Boca Juniors last Monday, when they registered a scoreless away draw after wasting several chances to claim a win. El Halcon remain as league leaders on 13 points after six rounds (alongside San Lorenzo), having not lost any of their last five matches in this competition (winning four and drawing one in that time, also without conceding). In fact, Julio Vaccari’s men are on two consecutive victories at their own stadium, beating Newell’s Old Boys 1-0 and Atletico Tucuman 3-0.
Talleres’ excellent form has been stopped last Sunday, when the team suffered an unexpected 2-1 home defeat to Velez Sarsfield following a poor form. That result ended their four-match winning streak in league action and displaced them from the top of the league table as Javier Gandolfi’s men remain on 12 points in six matches, trailing leaders San Lorenzo and Defensa y Justicia by one.
Defensa are one of the leaders and even though Talleres are just one point behind them I don’t think these odds are respecting them, so I’ll go with a home win.
