Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
I am betting Chelsea here today -0.75, they are on a bad run of form currently but so are their opponents today Crystal Palace, they were beaten by Forest away from home prior to the world cup break but since the break they have been beaten by Fulham 3-0, Tottenham 4-0 in the Premier league and Southampton 2-1 in the FA Cup 3rd round all at home. Chelsea are missing a number of players for the game but I have discounted for the team news and still make them a value bet it is risky but it does feel like the market is suggesting only one of these teams are playing poorly and as well as that Chelsea have not been that bad in some of the games they have recently lost, they’re expected goals (xG) was 2.4 against Fulham and even though Fulham recorded an xG of just 0.7 they still won 2-1. Chelsea is good enough to beat this Palace team who are starting to look like a poor team and I believe Chelsea is a value bet to take the 3 points.
