Barracas Central vs Lanus
Barracas Central had nothing to do against River Plate’s offensive power last Sunday and returned home empty-handed following a 2-0 away defeat. The side registered two victories and two defeats during coach Rodolfo De Paoli’s second spell at the club to make it 20 points in the Liga Profesional, which is a decent campaign and places them in the 19th spot of the relegation table so far. El Guapo are on four home matches unbeaten too, having won three and drawn one since losing to Argentinos Juniors at All Boys in July.
Lanus, clearly one of the worst teams in the league season, returned to their usual standards last weekend, when they succumbed to a 2-1 home defeat to Tigre. That means the team remain bottom-placed in the Liga Profesional table, with 11 points, after claiming a single victory across their last 13 league games (drawing three and losing nine). Also bottom in the aggregate table, this campaign will likely compromise their top flight status in the future.
Lanus are just terrible when playing away and Barracas has find some regularity lately since the coach change so I’m going with the hosts at these odds.
